DeepTech: Successful Kick-off Transnational Project Meeting in Luxembourg

On 23 January 2026, Luxembourg Creative Lab (LCL) proudly hosted the Kick-off Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the Erasmus+ co-funded project DeepTech for Creative Trust at its premises in Schifflange, Luxembourg. This first in-person gathering officially launched a new European collaboration dedicated to addressing one of today’s most urgent challenges: deepfakes, ethical AI, and trust in the creative and audio-visual sectors.

The meeting brought together partners from Luxembourg, Germany, and Bulgaria, setting the tone for a highly collaborative, structured, and forward-looking partnership.

A Strong and Collaborative Start

The day opened with a warm welcome from the host organisation, Luxembourg Creative Lab, followed by a roundtable session where each partner introduced its project team, mission, and strategic objectives.
The consortium is composed of:

  • Luxembourg Creative Lab (Luxembourg)
  • XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences (Germany)
  • Budakov Films Ltd (Bulgaria)

These introductions created a solid foundation of transparency, shared understanding, and aligned expectations—essential elements for effective transnational cooperation.

Informal Exchange and Knowledge Sharing

Beyond the formal agenda, informal discussions during the coffee break played a key role in strengthening collaboration. Early exchanges around innovation, creative responsibility, and cross-border knowledge sharing highlighted the strong commitment of all partners to both the technical and human dimensions of the project.

From Vision to Implementation

The core sessions of the TPM focused on translating the project vision into a clear and actionable roadmap. Key topics included:

  • Partnership agreements and alignment with National Agency recommendations
  • Clear allocation of tasks and responsibilities among partners
  • Defined goals, milestones, and deadlines for Activities 1, 2, and 3
  • Financial management procedures ensuring transparency and sustainability
  • Dissemination and quality management strategies to maximise long-term impact
  • Initial planning for the Open Public Event, aimed at engaging a wider group of stakeholders

These discussions ensured a shared operational understanding and a strong basis for effective implementation.

Building Trust Beyond the Agenda

A shared lunch provided additional space for informal networking, reinforcing trust and strengthening the human connections behind the partnership—an essential element for a project centred on creative trust and ethical digital practices.

Looking Ahead

The afternoon sessions further refined dissemination plans, quality assurance mechanisms, and coordination around upcoming public-facing activities. The partners reaffirmed their joint commitment to excellence, visibility, and tangible impact across Europe’s creative and educational ecosystems.

The meeting concluded with the awarding of Certificates of Attendance, marking not only participation but the official launch of a strong and ambitious European collaboration.

A Meaningful Beginning

This Kick-off TPM was more than a formal project meeting. It marked the start of a shared journey toward building creative trust, strengthening digital resilience, and promoting ethical AI practices across Europe.

Together, across borders.
Hosted with excellence in Luxembourg.
Driven by innovation.
Fueled by creativity.
