LCL Launches “Green Horizons: Leading the Way in Environmental Service Learning” Project
A Proud Milestone in Our Journey
We are thrilled to announce that Luxembourg Creative Lab (LCL) is taking a significant leap forward as the coordinator of the new project, “Green Horizons: Leading the Way in Environmental Service Learning.” Funded under the Erasmus+ Small Scale Partnership (2024-1-LU01-KA210-VET-000243985), this one-year initiative, starting on September 1, 2024, marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to fostering sustainability in the cultural and creative sectors (CCS).
Challenges We Aim to Address
Luxembourg Creative Lab (LCL)
At LCL, we recognize the urgent need to address the lack of a systematic approach among trainers delivering sustainability training within the CCS. Our current resources, though valuable, lack the organization and engagement needed to maximize their impact. Our dedication to service-based learning as a didactic approach is unwavering. However, to truly elevate our efforts, we must upskill our mentors and trainers, providing them with cutting-edge guidance and tools. This project will enable us to develop high-quality training materials, demonstrating how the CCS can effectively combat climate change through service-based learning methodologies.
High School ‘Educational Technologies’ (Bulgaria)
Similarly, our partner, High School ‘Educational Technologies,’ is committed to fostering green awareness among its students. However, they face challenges in integrating service-based learning initiatives into their curriculum. There is a need for a more structured and coordinated approach to environmental education, ensuring that students in design profile classes actively engage in climate change projects. By enhancing teacher preparation and establishing cross-curricular connections, we aim to significantly bolster their impact on environmental education.
