CRAFT3D: Final Project Meeting – Hosted by Luxembourg Creative Lab in Schifflange

Luxembourg Creative Lab had the pleasure of hosting the Final Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ co-funded initiative CRAFT3D – Enhancing Traditional Craft Practices through 3D Printing and Technology Innovation (Project No: 2023-1-IT01-KA220-VET-000154806). https://craft3d-project.eu

The event took place in the vibrant city of Schifflange, Luxembourg, where partners gathered in a modern, high-tech meeting room—a fitting setting for a project dedicated to blending tradition with innovation.

A Warm and Collaborative Closing Meeting

The final in-person meeting brought together all project partners for a day of friendly exchange, reflection, and celebration. The atmosphere was both productive and inspiring, as representatives from each organisation shared their experiences, evaluated progress, and finalised the last steps of this remarkable European collaboration.

LCL, as host, ensured a welcoming and well-equipped environment where creative dialogue could thrive. Surrounded by cutting-edge digital tools and multimedia facilities, participants symbolically bridged the gap between the heritage of traditional craftsmanship and the innovative spirit of 3D technology—the very essence of the CRAFT3D project.

Reviewing Deliverables and Quality Results

Partners reviewed the final project deliverables, confirming the high quality and consistency of all intellectual outputs. Special attention was given to the CRAFT3D Mentorship Programme and MOOC, both of which have successfully empowered artisans, designers, and educators to integrate 3D printing technologies into their craft practices.

Feedback from mentors and participants showed strong engagement and impact, highlighting how CRAFT3D has encouraged cross-generational and cross-disciplinary learning across Europe. The meeting also included a detailed assessment of dissemination activities and sustainability strategies to ensure that the project’s tools and outcomes will remain accessible and relevant beyond its official end.

Planning the Final Multiplier Events

A key point of the agenda was the preparation of the final Multiplier Events in each partner country. These events will serve to showcase CRAFT3D’s achievements to a wider audience of artisans, educators, and innovators. Partners exchanged creative ideas to make the events interactive and engaging—featuring live 3D printing demonstrations, exhibitions of craft prototypes, and presentations of digital learning materials.

Strengthening the CRAFT3D Digital Presence

The meeting also focused on enhancing the interactivity of the CRAFT3D website, ensuring it remains a lasting hub for collaboration between the craft and technology communities. Updates to improve user experience, visual design, and access to project results were discussed and scheduled for implementation in the final project phase.
