LCL Attends the “Upcycling, Reuse and Waste Recovery” Day, Schifflange, Luxembourg
Schifflange, Luxembourg – 28 September 2025 – Luxembourg Creative Lab was delighted to take part in the Journée « UPCYCLING, réemploi et valorisation des déchets », a full-day event organized by the SIVEC (Syndicat Intercommunal à Vocation ECologique) to promote the circular economy and sustainable practices.
Held on Sunday, September 28, from 10:00 to 17:00 in Schifflange, the event brought together citizens, associations, and organizations committed to finding innovative ways to transform unused items into valuable resources. Demonstrations, workshops, and presentations showcased how upcycling, reemployment, and creative recovery of materials can help reduce waste while sparking creativity and innovation.
A Platform for Innovation and Collaboration

One of the highlights of the day was the official launch of “Gutt Saach – From waste to resource” (guttsaach.lu), a platform designed to support schools, childcare centers, non-profit associations, and other social actors in Luxembourg. The platform’s mission is to encourage circular economy projects, raise awareness about resource management, and foster synergies between non-profits, resource centers, and partners.
Luxembourg Creative Lab strongly welcomes this initiative, which aligns with its own objectives of advancing sustainability, fostering innovation, and supporting community-based projects.
Shared Mission: Creativity and Sustainability
By attending this event, Luxembourg Creative Lab reaffirms its commitment to initiatives that bridge creativity with sustainability. The upcycling and reuse of materials are not only environmentally responsible but also open new opportunities for innovation in the cultural and creative sectors.
“Events like these demonstrate that the circular economy is not just an abstract concept but a practical, inspiring reality,” said Tsvetomir Budakov, Managing Director of Luxembourg Creative Lab. “We are proud to share the same mission with SIVEC and the local actors in promoting new ways of thinking about waste, resources, and creativity.”
A Friendly and Inspiring Atmosphere
The day concluded in a convivial spirit with food and drinks stands, giving participants the chance to network, exchange ideas, and celebrate sustainability in a warm community setting.
