DeepTech: Launch

As we step into 2026, Luxembourg Creative Lab (LCL) is proud to announce the launch of a new Erasmus+ co-funded European project:
🇪🇺 DeepTech for Creative Trust – Countering Deepfakes and Enabling Ethical AI in the Audio-Visual Industry.

📌 Project Number: 2025-2-LU01-KA210-VET-000371932

The project addresses one of the most urgent challenges facing today’s creative and audio-visual ecosystems: the rapid rise of deepfakes, the misuse of artificial intelligence, and the growing need for ethical, transparent, and trustworthy AI practices in education and professional environments.

A Strong European Partnership

Luxembourg Creative Lab coordinates a highly complementary European consortium bringing together expertise in education, technology, and creative production:

  • 🇱🇺 Luxembourg Creative Lab – Project Coordinator
  • 🇩🇪 XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences
  • 🇧🇬 Budakov Films

Together, the partners combine academic insight, hands-on industry experience, and innovation-driven educational design to ensure meaningful and practical project outcomes.

Why DeepTech for Creative Trust?

AI technologies are transforming the audio-visual industry at an unprecedented pace. While they offer powerful creative opportunities, they also raise serious concerns related to misinformation, intellectual property, data protection, professional ethics, and public trust.

DeepTech for Creative Trust responds directly to these challenges by empowering educators, trainers, and stakeholders with the knowledge, tools, and pedagogical frameworks needed to understand, detect, and responsibly use AI technologies in creative contexts.

Project Structure and Key Activities

The project is structured around three closely connected strands of activity:

  1. Co-design of the Training Programme “Ethical AI for Creative Trust”
Partners will jointly develop a competence framework and a set of pilot-ready learning modules addressing ethical AI, deepfake literacy, and responsible creative practices.
  2. Piloting Through Six National Workshops
The training programme will be tested through six national workshops, resulting in draft syllabi, practical learning resources, and explanatory video materials adapted for both VET and higher education contexts.
  3. Three International Conferences
The project will culminate in three international conferences designed to present results, gather feedback from educators and industry professionals, refine outputs, and support long-term integration into educational systems across Europe.

Expected Results and Impact

DeepTech for Creative Trust aims to deliver concrete, high-impact outcomes, including:

  • ✔️ A comprehensive training programme with five competence-based modules and accompanying explanatory videos
  • ✔️ Six draft syllabi ready for integration into VET and higher education curricula
  • ✔️ Consolidated feedback and European-level best-practice reports
  • ✔️ Direct engagement of 72 educators and sector stakeholders, strengthening skills in:
    • Deepfake detection and literacy
    • Ethical and responsible AI use
    • Pedagogical prompting
    • Data protection and intellectual property rights

Dissemination and Sustainability

Project results will be disseminated widely through online platforms, on-site events, and European networks, ensuring strong visibility, long-term sustainability, and real-world impact beyond the project’s lifetime.

By embedding ethical AI practices into education and professional training, DeepTech for Creative Trustcontributes to a more resilient, transparent, and future-ready audio-visual sector in Europe.

Looking Ahead

At Luxembourg Creative Lab, we are committed to fostering innovation that is not only technologically advanced but also ethically grounded and socially responsible. Through this project, we look forward to working closely with our partners and the wider European community to strengthen trust, creativity, and integrity in the digital age.
