DeepTech: LCL Successfully Completes the First National Workshop
Luxembourg Creative Lab (LCL) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the first of two national pilot workshops delivered as part of Activity 2 of the Erasmus+ co-funded project “DeepTech for Creative Trust: Countering Deepfakes and Enabling Ethical AI in the Audio-Visual Industry.” The workshop marks an important milestone in validating the project’s innovative training programme and supporting educators in integrating ethical artificial intelligence into teaching and learning.
Building on the work completed during Activity 1, where the consortium designed the six-module training programme “Ethical AI for Creative Trust,” the first workshop provided educators with the opportunity to test the newly developed learning materials in a collaborative and practice-oriented environment. Participants explored practical approaches to using AI responsibly while evaluating how the programme can be effectively integrated into vocational education and higher education settings.
During the workshop, participants worked through key topics that are becoming increasingly important for professionals in the creative and audio-visual sectors, including:
- Deepfake identification and analysis;
- Ethical and effective AI prompting for educational purposes;
- Data protection and privacy in AI-supported learning;
- Intellectual property and copyright considerations when using AI-generated content;
- Practical strategies for embedding ethical AI competences into existing curricula.
A central objective of the workshop was to enable educators not only to understand these emerging challenges but also to begin developing their own methodologies for integrating ethical AI into their teaching practice. Through guided discussions, collaborative exercises, and practical validation of the training modules, participants provided valuable feedback that will contribute to further refining the programme before its wider dissemination.
The workshop also initiated the development of practical educator resources that will form part of the project’s final outputs. These include detailed course syllabi, teaching strategies, and explanatory video resources designed to support educators in delivering engaging, accessible, and ethically grounded AI education. All materials produced throughout Activity 2 will undergo quality review by the project consortium before being incorporated into the final resource package.
The successful completion of this first national workshop demonstrates the strong engagement of educators with the project’s objectives and confirms the growing need for structured training on ethical AI within Europe’s creative industries. The feedback gathered during this session will directly inform the refinement of the training programme ahead of the second national workshop, ensuring that the final educational resources are practical, relevant, and transferable across diverse educational contexts.
Luxembourg Creative Lab looks forward to delivering the second national workshop in the coming months and continuing to work alongside its project partners to strengthen educators’ digital competences, promote responsible AI adoption, and build greater trust in the future of AI-enabled creative education.
